Make a Wish Philippines banquet at The Monochrome
About a month ago, a charity dinner was organized by Time Horizon Events to introduce Make-A-Wish Philippines to companies and individuals from the South area. It was held at The Monochrome, Nuvali Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Make-A-Wish Philippines is the first and only non-profit wish granting organization in the country. It is an affiliate of the world’s largest and most respected foundations, Make-A-Wish International. Its mission is to grant the wishes of the children with life threatening medical conditions.
The banquet is not just to create awareness, but to let the people hear the testimonies from Darwin, Raymond and Mary Rose -kids who have been a beneficiary of the foundation.
Mr. Bill Hevener one of the Board of Trustees, passionately explained how they operate and why they believe in the Power of a Wish-a human experience of hope, strength and joy for these kids.
The Platinum Wing of The Monochrome was filled with about a hundred attendees consisting of company owners, officials, representatives, foundations and individuals who graced the event with their presence a willingness to support a cause such as this. It was also a night of great performances.
Mr. Apa Alviar, one of the Board Members spearheaded the call to get involved, which is the highlight of the charity dinner. The vision was presented to the people who attended the banquet.
With his testimony, he encouraged the people to be part of this endeavor. Giving them an opportunity to bless and be blessed as they respond to the call. Make-A-Wish Philippines will continue to bring hope, strength and joy as long as there are companies and individuals who continually support and believe in the “Power of a Wish”.

Make A Wish PH Fundraiser Banquet – March 4, 2016
We're happy to have had our very first fundraising banquet! Held just last March 4, our goal was to raise funds and awareness for the foundation. 100 guests attended the event, including former wish kids – Darwin, Raymond, and Mary Rose – who, together with their families, gave the audience a testimonial about how their wish experiences impacted their lives. Everyone present during the banquet sat through performances by the String Colors Ensemble, ACTS Manila, and Danimei Everett.
